• Online interactive music programs. JSyn provides timing-accurate and flexible synthesis. JSyn supported by JMSL (Java Music Specification Language) by Nick Didkovsky.
• Background sound effects or music for a web page. Jsyn allows you to create high fidelity audio without downloading or streaming large files.
• Telephony or voice e-mail. JSyn allows one to record and playback voice in a browser.
• Teaching audio synthesis, DSP, or music. A team at Dartmouth is preparing a computer music textbook with embedded JSyn Applets. JSyn is also being taught at other colleges including NYU, Cal Arts, and Oberlin.
