Loading Patches From Disk

Wire comes with a number of predefined patches. You can load these and use them in your own patches. You can also load patches that you have saved.
  1. Delete any modules from the Top Patch except for a LineOut
  2. Select "Patch from File..." from the "Add" menu.
  3. Load the file "SimpleBellFM.xml".
  4. Add a LineOut from the "Add, I/O" menu.
  5. Connect the output of this patch to a lineOut.
  6. Double click on the patch to see how it works.
  7. Play the keyboard to hear the patch.

Tutorial Patches

Wire comes with several tutorial patches that you can load and experiment with. The patches have comments in the patch.
  1. Delete any modules from the Top Patch.
  2. Select "Open Patch..." from the "File" menu.
  3. Open the tutorial folder.
  4. Open the "atut1_?" file.
  5. Read the comment and play with the patch.
  6. Repeat this process with the other tutorial patches.
